Plessey Semiconductors is developing a very low cost, easy to use, lead-one ECG device known as imPulse, to assist primary care staff to automatically identify arrhythmias and improve long term management and secondary prevention. The device can display a heart rhythm strip on any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone via a USB or Bluetooth link and is ideal for patients monitoring their own condition.
