Our drones provide a safe, reliable, low-carbon alternative to current couriers. The NHS supply chain has known high emissions and inefficiencies - we will address and improve both. Drones can rapidly transport medical packages on-demand, removing couriers from the ground, reducing congestion, delays and emissions. Drone travel is also more predictable than road, allowing for greater confidence and reliability of delivery.
On showcasing our technology, we will:
- Conduct evidence-based research on drone delivery safety and patient/clinician benefits to formulate use-cases;
- Obtain regulatory approvals and complete drone operator tendering process;
- Design the Northumbria Air Grid by mapping air corridors between hospitals, GPs and other healthcare facilities;
- Design and implement an operational drone delivery service, economically and sustainably transporting medical supplies.
