BioSensors is a joint venture company of Liverpool John Moores University and Med ePad Ltd. The company is developing the BioSensor Array, which is proposed to be a flexible sensor pad designed to be attached to a patient in order to wirelessly transmit regular estimates of a range of blood biovariables. These estimates will be obtained indirectly by means of non-invasive transdermal electromagnetic wave detection rather than requiring the use of blood sampling which in small babies carries a risk of infection, bruising and pain.
| Project | Investigating the use of miniature, wireless and disposable transdermal sensors to measure levels of various bio-chemical markers in a patient’s blood, without using invasive procedures |
