Project ZERO-DECON: Net Zero healthcare textile processing
Description

Revolution-ZERO in partnership with the University of Southampton and University College of London are developing a suite of tools that has the potential to save more than 190,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions and £90 million in costs per year for the UK NHS compared to 2023. They are doing this through developing novel chemistry and protocols for the wash processes that will allow for lower temperature and more effective cleaning of medical textiles. They are concurrently developing the next generation of cleaning and disinfection validation technologies utilising advanced microbiological analysis and a new in wash marker system paired with machine vision (AI) techniques.
