Description

SilverCloud Healthcare is developing an online platform to support self-management of symptoms and promote wellbeing of people with cardiovascular disease (CVD). CVD is responsible for premature death, impaired quality of life and has disproportionate service usage and costs. Psychological distress in CVD is common and associated with poor outcome. The project will develop an online cognitive, psycho-educational and psycho-therapeutic CVD-specific package to support self-management and promote wellbeing.

Project Development of a very low cost (<£50), easy to use, lead-one ECG device
Description

Plessey Semiconductors is developing a very low cost, easy to use, lead-one ECG device known as imPulse, to assist primary care staff to automatically identify arrhythmias and improve long term management and secondary prevention. The device can display a heart rhythm strip on any desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone via a USB or Bluetooth link and is ideal for patients monitoring their own condition.
