New funding competition focuses on two priority areas: Urgent & Emergency Care, and Stroke

08 July 2024

SBRI Healthcare, an Accelerated Access Collaborative initiative, in partnership with the Health Innovation Network and Stroke Association, is delighted to announce a new funding competition.

SBRI Healthcare Competition 26 Phase 3 is aimed at late-stage innovations with the aim to facilitate the collection of evidence in real-world settings, and build on the value proposition required by commissioners and regulators to accelerate the uptake of innovations into health and social care settings.

The competition focuses on two priority areas, Urgent & Emergency Care, and Stroke.

In consultation with clinicians and other stakeholders working in provision of care across the spectrum, innovations in Urgent & Emergency Care are sought that focus on:

  1. Health and Care outside of Hospitals: Accessing the Right Care and Reducing Demand

  2. Reducing Length of Stay and Improving Discharge

  3. Supporting Workforce.

And in consultation with the James Lind Alliance Stroke Priority Setting Partnership for Stroke Research, clinicians and stakeholders, innovations in Stroke are sought that focus on:

  1. Early diagnosis

  2. Rehabilitation

  3. Life after stroke.

The upper funding limit for SBRI Healthcare Phase 3 competitions is £500,000 excluding VAT, per innovation.

Single organisations (contracts are executed with individual legal entities) based in the UK or EU from the private, public and third sectors, including companies (large corporates and small and medium enterprises), charities, universities, and NHS providers, given a strong commercial strategy is provided, are eligible to apply.

A briefing webinar will be held on 23rd July 1-3pm. Register on Eventbrite here

Application is open from 31st July 2024 to 18th September (13:00) 2024.
