It's use puts patients at the centre of their care, allowing them to share their record securely via a simple electronic scanning function, making the information available to clinicians as they choose. Mologic

Project Headstart – a new diagnostic for acute exacerbation of COPD
Description

COPD is the second most common cause of emergency admissions in the UK, responsible for one in eight acute adult medical admissions. Mologic is developing a urine based test for an early indication of exacerbation, simple enough for patients to monitor their disease status at home. Its design is similar to home pregnancy tests and uses an automatic reader to interpret the results and suggest further management. Providing early recognition of exacerbation, and patient notification to contact their clinician along with clinical information to guide treatment choice, will enable care in the community reducing A&E visits and admissions.
