Good Boost Wellbeing

Project Transforming leisure centres into community MSK hubs
Description

Good Boost creates technology to deliver individually tailored aquatic rehabilitation for musculoskeletal conditions in partnership with local pools. Powered by artificial intelligence, the Good Boost software is delivered on waterproof tablet computers to allow participants to progress in their exercises at their own pace.

This supports the self-management of musculoskeletal conditions through treatment and prevention in a low-impact and low-pain environment. Pool staff and volunteers are trained and provided with our validated and registered medical technology.

Together, this delivers a community service that reduces pain and improves physical function which is locally accessible and affordable (£4-7 average cost per session). With participants completing a digital registration form on induction and repeating outcome measures every 4 weeks, we demonstrate user changes in key MSK metrics over time.

Mogrify Ltd

Project Generation of chondrocytes by cell conversion for regenerative medicine applications
Description

Mogrify™ has developed a proprietary direct cellular conversion technology, which makes it possible to transform (transmogrify) any mature human cell type into any other without going through a pluripotent stem cell- or progenitor cell-state.

Mogrify is leveraging this technology to identify small molecules capable of converting expandable cell types into chondrocytes in order to create a scalable supply of allogeneic chondrocytes for use in regeneration of the joints in cartilage defects and osteoarthritis.
