Professor Michael Lewis is Chair of five Medical/CRO/digital health companies and Professor at Birmingham Medical School. His industry experience covers pharma, biotech, digital, dental, devices and diagnostics and he is also Chair of the Biocatalyst Major Awards (MAC2) Panel.
Dr Philip Jennings
Medical Director, Innovation Agency NWC
Phil is Medical Director for the Innovation Agency NWC, while continuing to practise as a freelance GP in Merseyside, with a specialist interest in cardiology. He was previously the primary care lead for the Cheshire and Merseyside Cardiac Network.
Professor Paul Leeson
Head of Oxford Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility, University of Oxford
Paul is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Oxford, Research Fellow at Wolfson College and Head of the Oxford Cardiovascular Clinical Research Facility. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, where he provides expertise in Cardiovascular Imaging, as well as General Cardiology and Cardiovascular Prevention through the Oxford Specialist Hypertension Clinic.

Lesley has over 20 years’ experience in the NHS and public sector. She has worked in senior business and strategy roles in mental health and community trusts. She is Programme Director for the Innovation Theme, including industry collaborations, at the South London AHSN.
Mr Ian Sandison

Ian spent nine years with Becton Dickinson and three with Smiths Medical. He assists medtech companies with strategy, planning and commercialisation. He works with the Eastern AHSN on their NHS Readiness events, he contributes to the Cambridge University, Judge Business School MBA programme.

Dr Tevfik Ismail
Consultant Cardiologist, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Tevfik is a consultant cardiologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ and a clinical senior lecturer at King’s College London. He has specialist interests in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging; heart failure; inherited and inflammatory heart muscle disease.
Dr Deirdre Lane
Reader in Cardiovascular Health, University of Liverpool Deirdre’s background is in health psychology and cardiovascular epidemiology. Her areas of research include how cardiovascular disease affects patient quality of life, the management of atrial fibrillation, and stroke prevention.
